Upgrades to Lions Park in Nanango, which became necessary after storm damage and vandalism, have been completed thanks to a grant secured by the Nanango Lions Club.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Regional Council assisted the club in applying for the grant from the State Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund.<\/p>\n

The upgrades include two new wheelchair-friendly table settings, a wheelchair-friendly barbecue and shelter, new concrete paths and shadecloth over the playground.<\/p>\n

Council topped up the grant with funding from its capital works program.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is exciting to see the upgrades to the park that will create an accessible space for all to enjoy,\u201d Deputy Mayor Jane Erkens said.<\/p>\n
