Cyclone Alfred has forced the Kingaroy Men’s Shed to reschedule its popular “Dinner Under The Stars” which had been planned for this Saturday night (March 8).<\/p>\n

The dinner, which is a fundraiser for the LifeFlight Foundation, will now be held on Saturday, March 22.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Men’s Shed president Eric Ford said the group had decided to err on the side of caution.<\/p>\n

Everything which had been planned for March 8, will now go ahead on the new date.<\/p>\n

Eric said the decision had been made because of the unpredictable weather and with the safety and well-being of supporters in mind.<\/p>\n

“For those ticket holders who can\u2019t make Saturday, March 22, we are happy to refund in full,” he said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anyone requiring a refund, should see Susan Robertson at Kingaroy Office Central in Haly Street, Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

The effects of Cyclone Alfred on the South Burnett are unknown, although authorities are expecting heavy rain from the depression which will form after the cyclone crosses the coast on Friday or Saturday.<\/p>\n
