February 12, 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n

A house was destroyed by fire – and a woman was taken to hospital with minor burns – at Ballogie on Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to the blaze on Underwoods Road just before 12:15pm.<\/p>\n

A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said the single-storey house was fully engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived.<\/p>\n

Fortunately, all occupants were already safely outside the building.<\/p>\n

QAS paramedics assessed a man and a woman at the scene.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson said the woman was taken to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition with minor burns to her hands and limbs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The man was not injured.<\/p>\n

The fire was extinguished by 3:15pm but not before the roof had collapsed.<\/p>\n

At 3:30pm, firefighters were still at the scene, dampening down the remains of the structure.<\/p>\n
