Younger cooks who may have been too scared to enter the Queensland Ag Shows’ venerable “Dark Rich Fruit Cake” competition now have a new State competition of their own in which they can test their skills.<\/p>\n

The Next Generation Anzac Biscuit competition will be open to competitors aged from 18 to 40 as at May 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But older cooks need not worry, the “Dark Rich Fruit Cake” competition will still be running, open to competitors of all ages!<\/p>\n

Heats of the various QCAS statewide competitions – which include Showgirl, Rural Ambassador, Young Judges and Young Paraders – are held at local shows.<\/p>\n

However, it is up to local show societies to decide which of the State competitions they will hold at their individual events.<\/p>\n

Sub-Chamber representatives are then chosen from each competition who travel to Brisbane to represent their region at the Ekka.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
