The Blackbutt and District Tourism and Heritage Association – the group behind the popular Roy Emerson Museum at Blackbutt – has launched a campaign to raise $100,000 by September 30.<\/p>\n

The group wants to raise the money to shift and then renovate an historic building linked to the timber industry from Jimna to Blackbutt.<\/p>\n

They have a dream to turn the former Jimna Store Shed into a Timber Exhibition Hall to complement the existing historic precinct at the Blackbutt rail trail head.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The group began its fundraising last year, hosting several events including the “Sawdust In Our Veins” dinner in August and a film premiere in November.<\/p>\n

The Timber Exhibition Hall would house memorabilia linked to the Timbertowns’ proud forestry and sawmilling history and the many families linked to it.<\/p>\n

Donations over $50 will be acknowledged but all donations both big and small have been invited:<\/strong><\/p>\n
