Former Brisbane City Council CEO Colin Jensen has been appointed Acting CEO of the Toowoomba Regional Council.<\/p>\n

Mr Jensen will fill the role from February 24.<\/p>\n

Mayor Geoff McDonald said Council had appointed an interim Acting CEO while the recruitment continued for a permanent replacement.<\/p>\n

\u201cRecruiting a new CEO is often a lengthy process and it\u2019s important we take the necessary time to find the best possible person for this organisation and for this community,\u201d Mayor McDonald said.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo ensure we\u2019re well-placed during this transition we\u2019ve appointed Colin as an Interim Acting CEO and we\u2019re confident someone of his calibre will continue to progress us in the right direction.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe next three months are crucial for this organisation as we address the financial pressures on the current Budget and plan for the adoption of our 2025-26 Budget.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the former CEO of the largest local government organisation in Australia, Colin has experience managing an annual budget of $4.3 billion, serving a population of 1.3 million.<\/p>\n

\u201cColin has also held a number of senior roles in the Queensland Government and will bring invaluable knowledge to Council.\u201d<\/p>\n
