The winners of the South Burnett’s unique Christmas Spirit competitions – organised by Council CEO Mark Pitt and his wife Nicola – were announced on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

\u201cSanta Claus Lane\u201d recognises a street where neighbours or the local community have co-operated to decorate a stretch of the road.<\/p>\n

It was first awarded in 2019.<\/p>\n

“Santa’s Workshop” recognises a business in each Council Division which has created a display to allow children to experience the wonder of Christmas.<\/p>\n

These trophies have been awarded since 2021.<\/p>\n

The third category, introduced last year, is “Christmas Cottage” which recognises a solo residence.<\/p>\n

This winner receives a certificate, and a plaque bearing their name is hung for 12 months in their local town library.<\/p>\n
