Nationals Leader David Littleproud has again promised that the “majority of jobs currently on offer at Tarong” can be converted over to a nuclear facility.<\/p>\n

In a statement to the media, the Member for Maranoa said job security was among the benefits of the Coalition’s energy plan for the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

He also emphasised the “protection of regional communities and prime agricultural land from renewables and cheaper energy bills”.<\/p>\n

Mr Littleproud said the South Burnett would play a pivotal role in the Coalition\u2019s plan with the Tarong Power Station among the seven sites identified by the Coalition as potentially hosting a nuclear facility.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cThe Coalition\u2019s energy plan will allow us to make sure we leave a legacy not just for the South Burnett, but for all of regional Australia,\u201d Mr Littleproud said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt ensures we draw on the sovereignty of all our resources, that we don\u2019t put all of our energy eggs in one basket, and importantly that we provide jobs for regional Australians for years to come.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot only will the Coalition\u2019s Energy Plan save Australians money, but it will also help prevent regional areas, such as the South Burnett, from becoming littered with wind turbines and solar panels.<\/p>\n

\u201cLabor\u2019s Reckless Race to 82 per cent renewables by 2030 has caused untold heartache across regional Australia.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Coalition\u2019s plan offers a clean, more-affordable approach that creates a legacy for regional Australia.\u201d<\/p>\n
