Artists Muriel Patterson, Lois Ward and Christine Hopkins have\u00a0 taken over the walls of the Wondai Regional Art Gallery for the next two months with their quirky exhibition, “A Brush With Friends”.<\/p>\n

The three friends have all been involved with the art scene in the Moore Park Beach area of Bundaberg and have shown works there in local exhibitions.<\/p>\n

This was a great excuse for Bundaberg councillor Jason Bartles to officially open the Wondai exhibition.<\/p>\n

Muriel co-ordinated the collection for the display.<\/p>\n

Her works – sometimes humorous, sometimes abstract – feature in Gallery 1 while Christine’s pieces fill the main gallery.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Lois has brought along a range of colourful quilts which are displayed Gallery 3.<\/p>\n

Wondai Art Gallery president Elaine Madill also had some good news, with work on the gallery’s planned extension due to begin in February.<\/p>\n

The exhibitions will remain on display at the Wondai Regional Art Gallery until 3:00pm on Saturday, February 1.<\/p>\n

The gallery is open seven days a week, from 10:00am to 3:00pm, and entry is free, however it will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile at the Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery, the Kingaroy Art Team’s Christmas Pop-Up Shop is in full swing.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is a range of unique, high-quality hand-made items for sale suitable for gifts for all ages (and all budgets).<\/p>\n

Potter Amy Wood is one of the artists who has been busy creating colourful handcrafted pieces for the Pop-Up Shop.<\/p>\n

She also has copies of her 2025 calendar for sale, which features her artworks.<\/p>\n

Amy said $2 from the sale of every calendar will be donated to the LifeFlight Foundation.<\/p>\n
