Blackbutt superstar Mitch Argent was part of the Australian team which secured its fifth back-to-back Stihl Timbersports Team World Championship at the prestigious international competition held recently in Toulouse.<\/p>\n

It was the first time France had hosted the wood chopping and sawing teams event which attracts the best axeman from around the world.<\/p>\n

The “Chopperoos” – Awatea Moore-Barrett, Kody Steers, Mitch Argent, Jamie Head, Brayden Meyer and Brad De Losa – were red hot favourites as Team Australia were the defending champions.<\/p>\n

The event was held on November 8-9 at the Z\u00e9nith Toulouse Metropole arena.<\/p>\n

The Australians set back-to-back world records on their way to victory, in both the semi-final against Canada and then breaking the mark again in the final against the USA, recording the incredible time of 43.15 seconds.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Team USA had to settle for silver with a personal best of 45.60 seconds.<\/p>\n

Teams from 19 countries competed in the championship before a crowd of about 4000 people.<\/p>\n

Team Australia has only been beaten once in the past 10 Timbersports Team World Championships.<\/p>\n
