South Burnett women aged 30 or more who would like to further their personal or business development skills have been invited to apply for a $1000 bursary.<\/p>\n

Applications for the Red Earth Community Foundation \/ Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women’s Network bursary are now open.<\/p>\n

The inaugural recipient of the bursary was Windera woman Carissa Beddows who used the money to gain more experience in her chosen career of nursing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was still at uni studying nursing at the time,\u201d Carissa said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had this incredible chance to go to Vietnam on a placement through my university. It was an amazing opportunity to expand my skills and immerse myself in a completely different healthcare system, but I needed extra funding to make it happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

The bursary not only provided the financial boost Carissa needed to make her Vietnam placement a reality but also inspired her to continue her journey of personal growth.<\/p>\n

She then secured a spot in the Red Earth’s Community Leadership program. <\/p>\n

The bursary aims to help women access training or personal development opportunities, empowering them to take the next step in their professional journeys.<\/p>\n
