Maidenwell’s Christmas celebrations will be centred around the Maidenwell Memorial Hall<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Maidenwell’s annual Christmas celebrations are going to be a lot brighter this year, thanks to the support of a local business and two community groups.<\/p>\n

Kidman Contracting, in conjunction with the Maidenwell Community Group and Maidenwell Music Mix Inc, have joined forces to “light up” the town.<\/p>\n

“We plan to have the town alight before December 7 as this is the night when the local QCWA group hosts their annual Christmas Party for the children in the district,” Maidenwell Music Mix secretary Sharyn Hansen said.<\/p>\n

“It will be a great social evening with a sausage sizzle and Santa will visit for sure.<\/p>\n

“He always manages to have a gift for each of the Tanduringie State School students in attendance, and we owe a vote of thanks to the local CWA for continuing this tradition.<\/p>\n

“It is always a wonderful festive event for the locals to catch up and relax before Christmas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“The lighting display is seen as a worthwhile investment in the town as we can store all lights and decorations away for the year and bring them out again next year for a repeat performance!”<\/p>\n
