Two hotels have gone into bat to support LifeFlight with a charity cricket fundraiser.<\/p>\n

The Kilkivan Hotel and Theebine Hotel battled it out at Theebine recently, with the home team coming out on top.<\/p>\n

The event raised more than $7500 and followed a $13,000 donation from the Theebine Hotel earlier in the year.<\/p>\n

Despite the fierce competition, Theebine took the win by 40 runs and were crowned the victors.<\/p>\n

Theebine Hotel proprietor Jackson Macdonald said the decision to fundraise for LifeFlight was an easy one.<\/p>\n

\u201cStaff at the hotel chose LifeFlight as their charity, as not too many days go past without us seeing the rescue chopper fly past our hotel,\u201d Mr Macdonald said.<\/p>\n

Cricket between the hotels is a local tradition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kilkivan Hotel proprietor John Panetta said his pub was supportive of Theebine\u2019s charity of choice.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe appreciate the support LifeFlight provides in regional areas and the comfort it gives people in those areas,\u201d Mr Panetta said.<\/p>\n
