The Australian Beef Sustainability Framework (ABSF) is calling for expressions of interest for the position of chair of the steering group.<\/p>\n

Current chair Mark Davie will end his term on November 30.<\/p>\n

The ABSF is owned by peak industry bodies: Cattle Australia, the Australian Lot Feeders\u2019 Association and the Australian Meat Industry Council.<\/p>\n

It is overseen by an advisory board and Meat & Livestock Australia provides resources in support.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mr Davie said he was proud of what the ABSF had achieved over the past three years.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe steering group has played a vital role in progressing the Australian Beef Sustainability Framework, and we\u2019ve seen key improvements over the past few years,” he said.<\/p>\n

“This has included a refresh of our indicators, consistently seeking out better data, and the announcement of the beef industry sustainability goals. It\u2019s a great time for a new chair to come on board, with the latest materiality assessment due for completion in early 2025.”<\/p>\n
