There have been some changes in the make-up of the Kingaroy Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s executive committee following the association’s Annual General Meeting on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

Former members Chrys McDuffie (CA Design & Print), David Musch (Crumptons) and Steven Fiedler (Fiedler Brothers Plumbing) elected not to re-stand.<\/p>\n

Elected in their place were former KCCI president Rob Fitz-Herbert, who slotted into the vice-president’s role; Allen Christensen (ATC Engineers and Project Managers) and Rhianna Fazldeen (Kingaroy Holiday Park).<\/p>\n

Re-elected were president Damien Martoo, secretary \/ treasurer Paula Greenwood, Mitch Gray (AMG Electrical Solutions), Sheena Lindholm (Push Pull Marketing), Jason Erbacher (South Burnett CTC), Daniel Pelcl (Burnett Today), Jacqui Trace (Bill Hull Car Centre) and Susan Robertson (Kingaroy Office Central).<\/p>\n

Damien said this would be his last year at the helm of the KCCI, a position he had given his “heart and soul” into since 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I feel it is time for a fresh mind to steer the ship from 2026,” he said.<\/p>\n

He also had some small business news of his own … Damien, who trained as a butcher, has decided to re-open a butcher shop in Haly Street, Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

In his president’s address, Damien thanked the financial partners who had supported the KCCI over the past 12 months: Westlink Petroleum, AMG Electrical, Fiedler Brothers Plumbing, Kingaroy Quarry Supplies, Bill Hull Car Centre, CA Design & Print, Kingaroy Holiday Park, ATC Engineers, Kingaroy Refrigeration and Global Engineering.<\/p>\n

He also thanked the businesses which had given in-kind support: Push Pull Marketing, South Burnett Hire and Sales, Warrior Water and Field Design.<\/p>\n

Highlights of the year included a number of positive meetings with State MPs; the development of the KCCI Capability Statement Catalogue; collaboration with TAFE Queensland and Golden West Apprenticeships; attracting the regional round of the Queensland Training Awards to Kingaroy; the Local Government election forum; and the continuation of the SMILE program (the KCCI funded 82 crisis counselling sessions).\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Our members are extremely lucky to have a diverse executive team,” Damien said.<\/p>\n

“I personally am very lucky to have a team that continues to step up and get things done.”<\/p>\n

The Annual General Meeting was held at Kingaroy’s Carrollee Hotel.<\/p>\n
