New Inventors panellist Richard Vaughan ... coming to Ringsfield House soon<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Former New Inventors panellist Richard Vaughan will be coming to Nanango’s Ringsfield House on Saturday, June 15, to give a one-off presentation about design and creativity.<\/p>\n

Richard has been designing and making unique wooden pieces on commission for almost 30 years, and has been teaching and sharing his joy for 20 years.<\/p>\n

His students are typically adults with “real jobs” who “crave tangible expressions of a part of their self that tends to get set aside in their daily lives”.<\/p>\n

During his five years on the panel of The New Inventors, Richard reaffirmed the creative, inventive side of all sorts of people.<\/p>\n

He said that quite often students start by declaring themselves to be “a klutz without a creative bone in their body”.<\/p>\n

“It’s a delight beyond words to see what they make, and to see the deep satisfaction they get from having done so,” he said.<\/p>\n

“Of course you have creativity! All you need to do is learn how to allow it.”<\/p>\n

Richard’s visit to the South Burnett is being organised by Hand Made In Country, a regional network of artisans who produce unique, hand-made items and teach their skills.<\/p>\n

The event is a very casual, “come and have a look and connect” occasion where guests can find out more about the Hand Made In Country concept.<\/p>\n

Tickets to Richard’s presentation are $20 (which includes morning tea) and can be booked on the Hand Made In Country website<\/strong><\/a> or by emailing them<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
