Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery is featuring works by four well-known art teachers – Bronwyn Langford Martoo, Tonita Penny, Marylaura Kato and Kahli Dawkings – in its November exhibition.<\/p>\n

The display of works, dubbed “Visceral Existence”, includes paintings, mixed media pieces, installations and sculptures.<\/p>\n

It was officially opened with a wine and cheese night at the gallery on November 1.<\/p>\n

The artists have explained that life often throws up moments which can only be survived through “gut instinct”, ie, the viscera.<\/p>\n

“We are a group of women moving through the world, living through major life challenges and exploring them through our artmaking practice,” they said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The exhibition will remain on display until November 19.<\/p>\n

Entry to the Kingaroy Art Gallery, opposite the peanut silos in Haly Street, is free.<\/p>\n
