The family of Jack McLennan – who went missing in the Ficks Crossing area on October 4 – have launched a GoFundMe page to help continue the search.<\/p>\n

The aim is to support Jack’s mother Kellie, father Ross, step-dad Jason and his sisters.<\/p>\n

The fundraising plea reads:<\/strong><\/p>\n

“The police have conducted extensive searches with the help of SES, drones and police divers, while community members have tirelessly assisted on foot, on bikes and horseback. Unfortunately, as the investigation continues, police are looking into all scenarios including homicide.<\/em><\/p>\n

“The family is left without answers, and each day becomes increasingly difficult for them.<\/em><\/p>\n

“Through donations, we can help provide additional resources for the ongoing search for Jack and provide financial support his family during this unimaginable time. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference in their fight to bring Jack home.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The official search for Jack was scaled back on the weekend of October 19-20.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The extensive air and land operation used police divers, dogs, SES volunteers, a helicopter and drones.<\/p>\n

A pair of shoes, believed to be owned by Jack, were found near Ficks Crossing, and a hat near Macalister and McLucas Streets, Murgon.<\/p>\n

Police also appealed for anyone who may have seen a person walking along the Bunya Highway towards Wondai on October 4 about 10:40pm to contact them, as well as anyone who was camping at Ficks Crossing on that night.<\/p>\n
