A storm cell which hit Moffatdale on Tuesday night demolished a shed, uprooted trees and ripped roofs from buildings.<\/p>\n

At 6:01pm, the Bureau of Meteorology issued a warning that severe thunderstorms likely to produce large hailstones and damaging winds had been detected east of Nanango and were moving northwards.<\/p>\n

It was this cell which struck Moffatdale about 7:00pm.<\/p>\n

The storm produced little rain but the accompanying strong winds damaged homes, farm sheds, businesses and Ergon Energy infrastructure in the Moffatdale area.<\/p>\n

Some infrastructure at Moffatdale Ridge Winery was also damaged.<\/p>\n

No one was reported to be injured.<\/p>\n

A police spokesperson said SES volunteers were called out to the Moffatdale area three times between 7:00pm on Tuesday and 9:30am on Wednesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They were also called to Wondai to assist with the removal of a downed tree which was blocking a road.<\/p>\n
