Firefighters quickly extinguished a fire reported in a toilet block in Yarraman on Monday night.<\/p>\n

Two fire crews responded to the incident at the Yarraman Recreation Ground in Margaret Street about 7:50pm.<\/p>\n

Workers from the Toowoomba Regional Council also attended.<\/p>\n

A Council spokesperson said the TRC was assessing the damage to understand the full extent and cost of necessary repairs.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“In the meantime, the facility has been closed and securely fenced off to ensure public safety,” the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

“Recognising the importance of this amenity to both the local and traveling communities, Council has arranged for temporary toilet facilities to be available on site from October 31 until the permanent repairs are completed.”<\/p>\n
