Sanewski took two wickets on Day 2 against Colts<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>October 25, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Murgon Crusaders notched up their first win of the season in Round 4 of the Gympie A Grade cricket competition last Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Murgon were at home, taking on Gympie Colts in the Two-Day game played across October 12\/19.<\/p>\n<p>Colts won the toss and elected to bowl.<\/p>\n<p>Crusaders were 190 all out at the end of their first innings, with opener Riley Sippel top-scoring with 50.<\/p>\n<p>In reply, Colts were all out for 132, giving Murgon a first innings lead of 58 runs.<\/p>\n<p>Tom Patten (4\/14 off 11.1 overs) was the best of the Murgon bowlers.<\/p>\n<p>Murgon declared at 3\/97 in their second innings, with Lehman Brunjes 49 not out.<\/p>\n<p>Colts were set a target of 155 to win, but finished with 8\/35.<\/p>\n<p>Murgon&#8217;s second innings bowling honours were shared: Tom Carney (3\/8), Tom Patton (2\/1) and Nicholas Sanewski (2\/6).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_354120\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-354120\" style=\"width: 740px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20241019cricket1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-354120 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20241019cricket1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"740\" height=\"460\" srcset=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20241019cricket1.jpg 740w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20241019cricket1-300x186.jpg 300w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20241019cricket1-269x167.jpg 269w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20241019cricket1-285x177.jpg 285w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20241019cricket1-340x211.jpg 340w, https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/20241019cricket1-263x163.jpg 263w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-354120\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Joe Steinhardt was filling in with Murgon Crusaders against Gympie Colts on Saturday and took 1\/6<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Wooroolin Warriors remain undefeated in the Gympie A Grade competition after downing Gympie Valleys by eight wickets in Day 2 of their game at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Valleys won the toss and elected to bowl.<\/p>\n<p>Warriors declared at 7\/286 in their first innings, and then had Valleys all out for 154.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson Kerkow (65) and Kieran Askin (57 not out) were the top scorers for Warriors, while Askin then backed up by taking 6\/42 off 18 overs.<\/p>\n<p>Forced to follow-on, Valleys batted again and declared at 8\/226, defending a lead of 94 runs.<\/p>\n<p>Warriors overtook this in the 16th over for the loss of two wickets, 2\/95.<\/p>\n<p>Lawson Black (38 not out) and Hayden Wieck (26 not out) were the top scorers.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #006699;\"><strong>Goodchild Shield<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>The South Burnett Boars have notched up their second win in the Goodchild Shield competition, downing Gympie by six wickets at Murgon Showrounds last Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gympie won the toss and elected to bat but were all out for 130 in the 44th over.<\/p>\n<p>Tom Carney (3\/9 off 10 overs, including four maidens),\u00a0 Kieran Askin (3\/18 off 10) and Nicholas Sanewski (2\/15 off four) did the damage.<\/p>\n<p>In reply, South Burnett overtook the target in the 24th over with the loss of just four wickets (4\/134).<\/p>\n<p>Brenton Polzin (43 off 49 balls), Nathan Roderick (36 not out) and Harry Sippel (22 not out) made the runs.<\/p>\n<p>South Burnett are now on top of the ladder in the four-team competition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Their\u00a0 Round 3 game, against Fraser Coast, will be played at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy on Sunday, December 1.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #006699;\"><strong>SB Junior Cricket Results<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Stage 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kingaroy Cobras (0\/187) def.
