May 23, 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate a 27-year-old local woman missing from Gympie since yesterday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The woman was last seen by a family member leaving a Nicholls Road address on foot heading towards Brisbane Road around 4:00pm yesterday.<\/p>\n

She is described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 165cm tall, with long brown hair, blue eyes and a small build.<\/p>\n

At the time, the woman was wearing blue jeans, a white cream top, a black jumper and a brown and green camouflage Billabong hat. The woman also had a handbag with her at the time.<\/p>\n

Police are appealing for anyone with information as to the woman’s whereabouts, or the woman herself, to contact them as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information which could assist police with their investigations should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800-333-000.<\/strong><\/p>\n

UPDATE 5:15pm<\/strong><\/p>\n

The woman has now been located safe and well.<\/p>\n
