Waterhole Rocks’ special dance floor was as popular as ever on Friday night<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

October 18, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nanango’s annual celebration of rock’n’roll, Waterhole Rocks, was officially launched by Mayor Kathy Duff on Friday night at Nanango Showgrounds.<\/p>\n

However, the fun actually began on Wednesday night with live music on stage to entertain the campers who had already started rolling in.<\/p>\n

Rhonda Mackrell, from the organising committee, said that by Friday night almost 300 vans had set up camp at the showgrounds, not a bad number but down on last year.<\/p>\n

Numbers were also down because a number of would-be visitors could not find accommodation due to local venues already being booked out.<\/p>\n

Saturday’s entertainment will includes a lot more dancing with The Rocknrollabillys,\u00a0Little Stevie and the Tail Fins,\u00a0and\u00a0Buddy Love and the Tremors taking to the stage.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Sunday, the focus will shift to Gospel music plus visitors will be able to enjoy a classic car and vintage caravan show’n’shine.<\/p>\n

Local rock’n’roll enthusiasts are more than welcome to join in the fun!<\/p>\n

Entry on Saturday is $25 and free on Sunday.<\/p>\n
