October 15, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

The annual exhibition of works by members of the Jumping Ant Arts collective have taken over the Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery for the month of October.<\/p>\n

Antfest 2024, dubbed\u00a0 “Unshackled”, features a wide range of pieces, from watercolours to linocuts\u00a0and silk scarves to ceramics.<\/p>\n

There are 12 artists taking part, including gallery stalwarts Fran and Paul Van Vegchel.<\/p>\n

The artists and their friends gathered at the gallery on October 4 for opening night.<\/p>\n

Several free art demonstrations have been scheduled to run in conjunction with the exhibition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Acrylic and pastel artist Susan Devitt will be demonstrating her skills from 10:00am on Wednesday (October 16).<\/p>\n

From 10:30am on the same day, Lee-Anne Pumpa will be explaining\u00a0 her painting techniques.<\/p>\n

On October 21, Fran van Vegchel and Carmel Nott will be showing how to make handmade books from 10:30am to 1:00pm.<\/p>\n

The “Unshackled” exhibition is open until October 30 and entry is free.<\/p>\n
