South Burnett CTC employees headed to Cherbourg and Murgon recently to enjoy their annual “CTC Day” away from their desks.<\/p>\n

The day brings together workers from all sections of the not-for-profit organisation to enjoy team-building activities and have a bit of fun.<\/p>\n

In recent years, the CTC team members have held working bees in Kingaroy, Wondai and at Mt Wooroolin.<\/p>\n

This year they completed small projects at The Ration Shed, Beemar Yumba, Mudjimba Safe House and Ny-Ku Byun in Cherbourg before heading to Murgon for lunch and the annual employee awards.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Employees who had clocked up milestones of five, 10, 15 or 20 years service were recognised (see below) as well as the recipients of CTC Day Awards.<\/p>\n

CTC CEO Jason Erbacher explained that the CTC Day Awards had a new format this year.<\/p>\n

Employees were nominated by their peers “to recognise their great work in line with CTC’s values of empathy, integrity and collaboration”.<\/p>\n

Jason also reflected on the changes which had occurred across the organisation over the past 12 months.<\/strong><\/p>\n

These included a new slogan, “Contributing To Community”, new logos and a new website was on the way.<\/p>\n

CTC had also embedded itself in Nanango, with the opening of its new centre in Drayton Street.<\/p>\n

A service guide, to explain exactly what CTC does, will be released at the upcoming AGM.<\/p>\n

And the organisation had drawn up plans for a new precinct beside the Youth Park in Kingaroy.<\/p>\n

Howard Leisemann<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Howard Leisemann, who joined the South Burnett CTC Board in 1987, was appointed Honorary Patron at a recent Board meeting of the Association.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Howard served as chair of the Association for 24 years until 2015, and also held roles as Treasurer and Public Officer.<\/p>\n

Chair John Box said Howard had provided 37 years of altruistic service as a Board member.<\/p>\n

CTC now has two Honorary Patrons, with former CEO and Secretary Nina Temperton appointed earlier this year.<\/p>\n
