Police searching for 27-year-old Jack McLennan have found a hat in Murgon believed to belong to the missing man.<\/p>\n

The hat was found by officers on Thursday near Macalister and McLucas streets.<\/p>\n

Jack was last seen between 8:00pm and 10:00pm on Friday, travelling on foot in the Ficks Crossing area.<\/p>\n

Jack is described as Caucasian in appearance, about 185cm tall with light brown hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and dark shorts.<\/p>\n

Police are appealing to witnesses, particularly a person who camped overnight in the Ficks Crossing area, to immediately come forward.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The person who police would like to speak to was travelling in a dark coloured vehicle with a roof top tent.<\/p>\n

Search and rescue operations continued on Friday in the Ficks Crossing area and will continue over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Up to 30 SES personnel will assist with the search on Saturday as well as additional police and remote aerial support assets.<\/p>\n

Anyone with information about Jack\u2019s whereabouts is urged to immediately contact police.<\/p>\n

Nearby residents are urged to check their properties, including any outbuildings and sheds, for signs of Jack.<\/p>\n
