Veteran ring announcer Keith McRobert – a familiar face and voice around the local show circuit – has been awarded a special honour at this year’s Ekka.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday night, Mr McRobert was named the 2024 Ekka Legend by RNA president David Thomas at a reception at the Brisbane Showgrounds.<\/p>\n

Mr McRobert has been linked with the Brisbane Exhibition for more than 70 years, either as an exhibitor, steward or announcer.<\/p>\n

He also volunteered as one of the auctioneers at the annual Stewards Charity Auction, raising funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation.<\/p>\n
