The Blackbutt District Community Organisation is inviting residents – especially newcomers to the region – to come along to the Blackbutt Community Expo which will be held on Saturday, August 10, at the Memorial Hall.<\/p>\n

Activities will run from 10:00am to 3:00pm.<\/p>\n

There will be representatives on hand from various community groups to share information about local activities that residents may like to join.<\/p>\n

There will be information about sports, hobbies, arts and craft, music, wildlife, gardening as well as service clubs.<\/p>\n

Spokesperson Nev Lawrence said there would\u00a0 be 26 groups sharing what they are doing in the district, and encouraging local residents to get involved in organisations that may interest them.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“This event is an opportunity for people in the area to find out more about what\u2019s on offer and how they can get involved in being a part of this vibrant community,” Nev said.<\/p>\n

Entry is free, and there will be lucky door prizes donated by many of the groups.<\/p>\n

The event has been supported by the South Burnett Regional Council.<\/p>\n
