{"id":351390,"date":"2024-07-31T13:23:29","date_gmt":"2024-07-31T03:23:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=351390"},"modified":"2024-07-31T16:26:45","modified_gmt":"2024-07-31T06:26:45","slug":"mla-seeks-producer-rep","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2024\/07\/31\/mla-seeks-producer-rep\/","title":{"rendered":"MLA Seeks Producer Rep"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>July 31, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meat &amp; Livestock Australia is looking to elect one cattle producer representative to serve on its Board Selection Committee for three years.<\/p>\n<p>Producer members wishing to nominate a person &#8211; or themselves &#8211; for election at the 2024 AGM must give written notice by Friday, August 30.<\/p>\n<p>All nominees will be put forward to the AGM for a vote by cattle producers.<\/p>\n<p>The role of the Selection Committee is to call for applications, review, interview and then report to members on the suitability of candidates for election or re-election to the MLA Board of Directors.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Selection Committee has nine members.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The cattle, lot feeder and sheepmeat peak councils each appoint one member, two non-voting members are MLA directors, and the remaining four members are producer representatives elected at the AGM for three years.<\/p>\n<p>Producer representatives are paid a sitting fee in accordance with MLA policy and expenses are covered for travel to attend meetings.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Download: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mla.com.au\/globalassets\/mla-corporate\/about-mla\/documents\/who-we-are--corporate-goverance\/selectioncommitteenomform-2024.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2024 nomination for election to the Selection Committee form<\/a><\/strong> (385kb PDF)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Meat &#038; Livestock Australia is looking to elect one cattle producer representative to serve on its Board Selection Committee.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":280109,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3,36],"tags":[1134],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
