Santa dropped into the Kingaroy Friendship Markets on Saturday morning to add a little more festive fun to the regular monthly event.<\/p>\n

The markets are held from 6:30am to noon on the third Saturday of every month at the southern end of the Kingaroy Showgrounds in Youngman Street.<\/p>\n

A raffle is held every month, with tickets quickly snapped up by marketgoers and stallholders alike.<\/p>\n

Funds raised go to support the South Burnett Show Society.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Santa added a bit of extra fun to the Christmas In July markets, but the winner also plans to add a bit of winter joy to residents at the Forest View aged care facility in Wondai.<\/p>\n

Don Barnes, from Proston, said he planned to donate his $60 meat voucher, from The Little Butcher in the Shoppingworld Mall, to Forest View.<\/p>\n

The Kingaroy Friendship Markets feature arts, crafts, flower stalls, fresh fruit and vegetables as well as all the usual market bric-a-brac.<\/p>\n
