The annual Power Up Show, Shine and Swap Meet attracted a large range vehicles – and even a few bikes and caravans –\u00a0 to Nanango on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The event is organised as a fundraiser by the not-for-profit Nanango Sporting Association, whose members include the groups which use the Alan Downie Sports Fields in Burnett Street: the Nanango Kennel Club, Nanango Cricket Club and Nanango Panthers Soccer Club.<\/p>\n

There was live music, courtesy of local singer Morgan, and trophies voted on by the public.<\/p>\n

The “Best In Show” trophy was awarded to Graeme Williams, from Kingaroy, for his 1959 green Chevrolet.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ten trophies were presented to the next 10 highest voted entries present at the prize-giving.<\/p>\n

The crowd’s favourite vehicles (not in order) were: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro, EJ Holden ute, 1937 Chevrolet, Holden Torana XU1, 1970 Chevrolet Corvette, 1975 Torana, 1969 Chevrolet Corvette, HX Holden (and yes, there were more marques than GM present), a 1966 Ford Mustang and a 1971 Ford Falcon.<\/p>\n

A prize was also presented to the most popular community stall, which was won by the Nanango Community Centre.<\/p>\n

The trophies were presented by South Burnett Mayor Kathy Duff, Cr Linda Little, Cr Jane Erkens, and Hannah Page and “Gyro” Bainbridge from the Nanango Sporting Association.<\/p>\n
