South Burnett Saints AFL player James Packer – who recently represented South Queensland in an intrastate rep game – has suffered a serious injury during training.<\/p>\n

Packer, who is the Saints’ men’s captain, suffered a suspected neck injury while training with the Saints in Kingaroy on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

He was taken to Kingaroy Hospital by ambulance, and later flown to hospital in Brisbane for further assessment and treatment.<\/p>\n

Packer led the Saints in their Round 13 game against Coolaroo in Toowoomba last Saturday, and kicked one of the team’s two goals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
