Wattle Camp Rural Fire Brigade hosted a Community Day at its fire shed on Sunday to thank the Heritage Nanango Community Fund for its support over the past 12 months.<\/p>\n

First Officer Peter Booth said Heritage had donated about $25,000 to the brigade.<\/p>\n

This had been used to bitumen the driveway into the fire shed, paint the building and upgrade a pump.<\/p>\n

The Wattle Camp RFB has two trucks and about eight active members.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Community Day featured a free barbecue for local residents as well as an opportunity for the firies to distribute fire safety information.<\/p>\n

As a bonus, three new members signed up!<\/p>\n

Visitors also left with “Get Ready Queensland” packs supplied by the South Burnett Regional Council.<\/p>\n
