Applications have opened for Toowoomba Regional Council\u2019s next round of community grants.<\/p>\n

Community and not-for-profit groups have been invited to apply for funding to assist their project or event.<\/p>\n

Applications must be lodged online by August 1, 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cr James O\u2019Shea said the current funding program covered applications for the Sport and Recreation, Event Support, Community Support, Environment, Cultural and Arts Support and Youth Support grant programs.<\/p>\n

Applications are also invited for Sports Tourism grants, which are accepted throughout the calendar year or until the Sports Tourism program budget has been allocated.<\/p>\n

\u201cCouncil also is calling for applications under the Youth Support grant category. Eligible organisations are encouraged to apply for grants up to the value of $2500 to help run youth-led projects,\u201d Cr O\u2019Shea said.<\/p>\n

\u201cResidents can call 131-872 to book a consultation with relevant staff to receive advice on tailoring grant proposals.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Preference is given to applications that fulfil a range of criteria covering community inclusiveness and interaction, a willingness to encourage community partnerships, upgrading facilities or services or establishing a new service, facility or initiative.<\/p>\n

Different funding caps apply across various grant categories.<\/p>\n

The competitive review process means that not all projects can be fully funded.<\/p>\n

The outcomes of the current grant round are expected to be known in September.<\/p>\n
