Two local not-for-profit groups have received grants from Telstra’s Connected Communities Grant Program.<\/p>\n

The two groups are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Cherbourg Historical Precinct Group<\/b> for its “Dilly Bag: Collective Community Growth” project – To advance digital technology to enrich visitor experience to Cherbourg Historical Precinct and enable partnership with key stakeholders to promote this significant site – $10,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • Community Radio of Wondai Association Inc (CROW-FM)<\/b> for an upgrade to its website, email and cyber security- To strengthen community engagement and connection through the creation of a website that will enable effective delivery of community service announcements – $6349<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The grants were awarded by the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR) and funded by Telstra.<\/p>\n

      They are among 27 grants, worth a total $200,000, awarded across Australia to “enhance the liveability” of remote, rural and regional communities by “embracing new technologies and ways of working to build social capital and digital capabilities”.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
