June 25, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

South Burnett Regional Council has begun work on upgrading Kingaroy’s Memorial Park.<\/p>\n

The upgrade includes a new basketball court and “warrior” course which has been supported with $250,000 in funding provided through the State Government\u2019s Minor Infrastructure Program.<\/p>\n

The work is scheduled to be completed in December.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe warrior course and basketball courts will provide valuable alternatives for the older children in our community,”\u00a0 Deputy Mayor Danita Potter said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She said the State Government funding was designed to help Queenslanders get involved in sport and recreation and the project would foster this in the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

Memorial Park will remain open during the upgrades, however Council has urged the public to take caution when using the park.<\/p>\n

Council has apologised for any inconveniences these upgrades might cause.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
