The house in Gipps Street was badly damaged in the blaze<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Smoke billowed from a fire which badly damaged a house in Gipps Street, Nanango, on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

Multiple fire crews were called to the blaze just before 10:00am and prevented the flames from spreading to nearby properties.<\/p>\n

Ambulance paramedics were also on standby, but fortunately were not required.<\/p>\n

A QFES spokesperson said firefighters confirmed there was no one trapped or injured inside the building.<\/p>\n

A neighbour said the flames had come close but she had suffered no damage.<\/p>\n

This is the second house destroyed by fire in the Nanango area recently.<\/p>\n

On June 8, a two-storey A-frame home at South Nanango was razed in a fire believed to have been started by a heater.<\/p>\n
