A woman aged in her 20s was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane with critical injuries after a collision at Durong on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

The collision occurred at the crossroads of Mundubbera-Durong, Shellytop and Woolletts roads, with both vehicles ending up in a ditch on the side of the road.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called just after 9:00am.<\/p>\n

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight SGAS helicopter was despatched about 9:30am and was able to land on the roadway near the incident.<\/p>\n

The injured woman had to be cut free from her vehicle by fire crews.<\/p>\n

She was then treated by Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics on scene and stretchered to the waiting helicopter.<\/p>\n

A QAS spokesperson said she suffered life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

The other driver suffered minor injuries and was not taken to hospital.<\/p>\n

About two hours later, ambulance crews were called to another incident at Durong.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A patient with back pain was transported by ambulance in a stable condition to Kingaroy Hospital after reportedly being caught between a gate and a loader bucket on the Mundubbera-Durong Road at 9:09am.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
