{"id":34927,"date":"2013-05-30T19:03:14","date_gmt":"2013-05-30T09:03:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=34927"},"modified":"2020-09-18T13:15:55","modified_gmt":"2020-09-18T03:15:55","slug":"waybills-available-online","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2013\/05\/30\/waybills-available-online\/","title":{"rendered":"Waybills Available Online"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>May 30, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Livestock owners can now take advantage of a new electronic waybill available on the Australian Business Account (ABA) <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.business.gov.au\/aba\/qldgov3\/waybill\/\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Biosecurity Officer Dr Jim Thompson said it was a legal requirement that a completed waybill or an equivalent document, for example, National Vendor Declaration (NVD)\/Waybill or PigPass, must accompany travelling stock.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA waybill identifies the owner of the stock, describes the stock being moved and provides details of the movement,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUp until now, livestock owners have manually filled out forms in a printed waybill book purchased from the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry or requested single waybills.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are now moving to an online \u2018smart form\u2019 system, which will be a more convenient option for accessing, filing and distributing waybills.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The electronic waybill is part of the State Government\u2019s ongoing commitment to reduce red-tape.<\/p>\n<p><strong>It says benefits include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Increased accessibility for users<\/li>\n<li>Cost-savings compared to purchasing hard-copy waybill books<\/li>\n<li>The ability to electronically store movement records<\/li>\n<li>The process ensures the most current version of the waybill form is used.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dr Thompson encouraged all livestock owners to move to the new online process.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s important to note that producers under the Livestock Production Assurance (LPA) still require the NVD\/waybill to maintain LPA accreditation. This is an industry requirement for livestock sales,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Users with an Australian Business Number can create an account on the ABA site and immediately start completing waybills. Records can also be stored within the user\u2019s account.<\/p>\n<p>Clients without an ABN can still access the waybill online and complete a blank form.<\/p>\n<p>Hard copy waybills are still available by calling the Customer Service Centre on 13-25-23 or by visiting a Biosecurity Queensland office.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Livestock owners can now take advantage of a new electronic waybill available on the Australian Business Account (ABA) website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3,36],"tags":[1134],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
