June 10, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

A motorbike rider was airlifted to hospital in a serious condition after a crash on Pierces Creek Road, between Blackbutt and Crows Nest, on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called about 11:40am, with the Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter despatched about 12:30pm.<\/p>\n

The chopper landed in a paddock, a short distance from the incident.<\/p>\n

A LifeFlight spokesperson said it was believed the middle-aged man was riding his motorcycle around a bend when he lost control and veered off the road, crashing into a bush.<\/p>\n

LifeFlight’s critical care doctor and QAS flight paramedic assisted local QAS paramedics in treating the patient for multiple injuries.<\/p>\n

He was airlifted to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.<\/p>\n

A man died following a fatal single-vehicle traffic crash in Silverleigh, north of Toowoomba, on Sunday morning.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emergency services were called just before 9:30am to reports of a car rollover on Kingsthorpe-Silverleigh Road.<\/p>\n

A 72-year-old Goombungee man, the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.<\/p>\n
