Toowoomba Regional Council has restructured its portfolio system for councillors, scrapping “leaders”, creating two new committees and sharing portfolio duties among groups of councillors.<\/p>\n

Mayor Cr Geoff McDonald said the new system would ensure all Councillors have a better understanding across the breadth of Council\u2019s operations to aid decision-making.<\/p>\n

The two new committees are Business Transformation and Major Projects.<\/p>\n

Mayor McDonald said the new structure would ensure Councillors\u2019 work better reflected the region\u2019s diverse needs.<\/p>\n

The new Councillor portfolio allocations were endorsed at the May Ordinary Meeting of Council:<\/strong><\/p>\n
