A 25-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged over an alleged stabbing in Kingaroy in February.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to a house in Alford Street just before 12:30am on February 18 after reports a man had suffered lacerations to his neck.<\/p>\n

They found a 42-year-old man with critical injuries.<\/p>\n

He was transported to Kingaroy Hospital and then airlifted to Royal Brisbane Hospital.<\/p>\n

An investigation, headed by Acting Detective Inspector Brian Collins and Forensic Crime co-ordinator Gary Whitlock working with Kingaroy police and detectives, resulted in a man being charged on Monday.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old was due to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with unlawful wounding (domestic violence offence).<\/p>\n

UPDATE: Connor Walter John Barry was granted bail when he appeared by videolink in court on Wednesday. He was remanded to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 12. <\/strong><\/p>\n

UPDATE: Barry was sentenced to four years\u2019 jail on February 17, 2025, to be suspended after 14 months, after pleading guilty in the Kingaroy District Court.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
