Bookarama is back in Kingaroy … and this year, the St John’s P&F has experimented with a new way to raise a few more dollars (and have some fun).<\/p>\n

The P&F decided to experiment with a VIP Preview Night on Friday at Kingaroy Town Hall.<\/p>\n

For $10, guests could get first pick at browsing all the books, CDs, DVDs and other goodies on sale as well as enjoying a complimentary drink on arrival and some nibbles.<\/p>\n

But book worms need not worry that there will be nothing left for them this weekend!<\/p>\n

Four truckloads of books have been unpacked at the Town Hall, with volunteers keeping the tables well-stacked as items are sold.<\/p>\n

Bookarama is a fundraiser for the P&F, which took over running the popular annual event in 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It will be running at the Kingaroy Town Hall from 8:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday; and from 8:00am to noon on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Entrance is free and all books range in price from 50 cents to $3.00.<\/p>\n

And from 11:00am on Sunday, everything will be half-price!<\/p>\n
