Former South Burnett Times editor Keith Kratzmann celebrated his 90th birthday recently surrounded by family.<\/p>\n

Keith, who lives in Tingoora with his wife Gayle, travelled to Mooloolaba to celebrate in style with more than 20 close family members.<\/p>\n

His grandson Daniel organised a ride for everyone on the Mooloolaba Aqua Duck.<\/p>\n

“Keith thoroughly enjoyed it, seeing the sights along the Maroochy River and surrounds,” his daughter Maree said.<\/p>\n

“Keith loves to garden and also enjoys trips away to Caloundra and more recently a trip to visit me in Gladstone.”<\/p>\n

Over the years, Keith – father of former South Burnett mayor Wayne Kratzmann – has kept his hand in with journalism.<\/p>\n

He has been an occasional contributor of news stories – particularly those linked to local history – to southburnett.com.au.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Maree said Keith\u2019s writing days were now over, but his love for gardening continued as did his love for bowls.<\/p>\n

“Keith is a regular indoor bowler at the Wooroolin Hall every Thursday,” she said.<\/p>\n

Keith and Gayle are also regular visitors at the Wondai Regional Art Gallery’s opening nights.<\/p>\n
