Time is running out for Queenslanders to tell the State\u2019s electricity networks about their energy needs and wants.<\/p>\n

The online 2024 Household Energy Survey<\/a> closes on Sunday, April 21.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Energy Queensland CEO Peter Scott said the survey was a joint initiative of Energex, Ergon Energy Network and Powerlink Queensland.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery customer\u2019s input into the Queensland Household Energy Survey matters and 4200 households participated last year,” Mr Scott said.<\/p>\n

“The more we understand about what\u2019s happening on the home front, the clearer picture we have of what the network of the future needs to cater for.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe energy landscape has changed dramatically since the first survey in 2009 when rooftop solar was only just taking off in Queensland and electric vehicles were a novelty.<\/p>\n

\u201cLast year\u2019s survey results reflected the community\u2019s focus on cost of living – 53 per cent of respondents were concerned about their ability to pay their power bills, 75 per cent were looking to reduce their electricity use and 72 per cent of households with solar were using it to cut costs.”<\/strong><\/p>\n
