Three wins in a row! The South Burnett Thrashers rugby union team thrilled fans with a dominant 52-15 victory over Roma in Kingaroy on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Club president Shane O\u2019Malley said it was great win in front of a home crowd.<\/p>\n

“We built the win again on defence which was really pleasing,” he said.<\/p>\n

He was also pleased the team put in their some of their best performances in the last 10-15 minutes of the game.<\/p>\n

“They never let up, they were putting in for the whole time,” Shane said.<\/p>\n

Player of the Match was flanker Scott Simms.<\/p>\n

Half-back Mitch Clark and centre Mick Smallwood also had good games.<\/p>\n

Next week the Thrashers are back on the road, heading to “the Fishbowl” in Condamine to come up against the Condamine Cods.<\/p>\n

“They’re about the same as us on the table but are always a big test at home,” Shane said.<\/p>\n

“Last year they only defeated us by scoring after the siren. \u00a0This year we hope to do one better.”<\/p>\n
