Kingaroy Men’s Shed members are looking forward to a break after another very busy Dinner Under The Stars fundraiser on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The annual fundraiser for the LifeFlight Foundation was booked out with 240 tickets sold for the dinner plus another 20 “walk-ins” on the night to enjoy the entertainment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

President Eric Ford said it had been “a good crowd and good food”.<\/p>\n

Funds were raised from the entry tickets, a raffle and an auction (handled by Dennis Cotter) which included several LifeFlight bears.<\/p>\n

“The big bear made $1000, and the little bears made up to $200,” Eric said.<\/p>\n

Diners enjoyed a meal served up by volunteers from Kingaroy State High School.<\/p>\n

Live music from the stage also added to the atmosphere.<\/p>\n

The night was tinged with some sadness as Kingaroy Men’s Shed members remembered Ralph Clark, who died in September last year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ralph had been an integral part of organising previous Dinners Under The Stars.<\/p>\n

“We wanted to have a good one for Ralph,” Eric said.<\/p>\n

Eric added that the Men’s Shed was very grateful for the sponsorship and donations they had received from local businesses.<\/p>\n

“Without that, we wouldn’t be able to do what we did,” he said.<\/p>\n

“We aim to provide a good family night out where everyone can enjoy themselves.”<\/p>\n

UPDATE May 17: The dinner raised an amazing $14,000 which will be presented as a cheque to the LifeFlight Foundation.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
