The Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter crew performed three back-to-back missions on Saturday, including two involving injured horse riders.<\/p>\n

The rescue chopper was first called into action about 8:30am.<\/p>\n

A woman, aged in her 40s, was riding with her husband when she fell from her horse, which then rolled on top of her.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to incident, near Pierces Creek, just after 8:00am.<\/p>\n

The helicopter landed near the scene, where the aeromedical crew met local QAS paramedics who were treating the woman for chest, arm and leg injuries.<\/p>\n

She was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.<\/p>\n

The helicopter crew then completed an unrelated hospital patient transfer before being called to respond to another horse-riding incident.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This involved a teenage woman who suffered multiple injuries when she fell from her horse on a private property near Wutul at 3:45pm.<\/p>\n

The helicopter pilot was again able to land near the scene.<\/p>\n

The teenager suffered hip, shoulder and back injuries and was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.<\/p>\n
