This\u00a0 bunch of Coolabunia State School P&C volunteers were getting ready for a very busy night<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Coolabunia State School P&C’s volunteers handled Reef’n’Beef like a pro on Saturday night, even though it’s only their second try at running the popular event.<\/p>\n

The P&C took over Reef’n’Beef in 2023, shifting the fundraising night from Ironpot Hall to the undercover sports area at the Coolabunia School.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The area was packed with 190 diners, waiting expectantly as the food was prepared.<\/p>\n

Local singer Amber Goldsmith provided the live music accompaniment to the meals, and the volunteers at the bar were kept busy serving up a range of drinks.<\/p>\n

P&C treasurer Brooke McAleese said the night had been “massive”, and although not all the invoices were in yet, she believed more money had been raised than last year.<\/p>\n

“It was a great success,” she said.<\/p>\n

Funds from the P&C’s first Reef’n’Beef went towards Stage 1 of the school’s new playground, which was installed over the Christmas holidays break.<\/p>\n

The money raised at the latest event will be put towards Stage 2 of the playground upgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
