There were pumpkins everywhere at last year's Goomeri Pumpkin Festival<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

May 23, 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pumpkins will be rolling again in Goomeri on Sunday for the 17th annual Goomeri Pumpkin Festival … the region’s largest and zaniest annual event.<\/p>\n

The day-long\u00a0 festival will kick off at 6:00am when the barbecue in the SES Building gets underway.<\/p>\n

Street markets will open at 8:00am.<\/p>\n

During the day there’ll be a lot of pumpkin-themed events: decorated pumpkins, pumpkin bowls, \u00a0giant pumpkins, pumpkin shotput etc.<\/p>\n

But the highlight – as always – will be the Great Australian Pumpkin Roll which will get underway at 2:00pm. Registrations to take part in the roll will be taken from 8:30am.<\/p>\n

There’s also plenty of other events, including whipcracking, bush poetry, live music, \u00a0a bullock team and a street parade at 10:30am.<\/p>\n
